A Few Interesting Names of archery teams or clubs

Perhaps the oldest recorded instance of archery tournaments dates to about the year 1673 AD when a tournament by the name of 'Ancient Scorton Arrow' was formed in England in Yorkshire, which till date is the oldest tournament still being held in present times and for which there are many names of archery teams or clubs entered to take part in the tournament. Some years later, the Royal Company of Archers began to indulge in what was then called 'Clout Archery' that required use of longbows to shoot a target of about thirty one inches in diameter placed roughly one hundred eighty yards away. Later, the First Tournament of the National Archery Association came about in Chicago, and by the year 1896 AD, the Olympic Games of modern times came to be held in Greece.
