Basic Techniques

One of the tricky aspects in archery is learning how to stand and one great tip when it comes to making your stance is to stand relaxed, make sure that your feet are parallel to the target and slightly keep them apart. Also, remember to keep a relaxed grip on the bow handle when taking an aim for your shot while keeping the right positioning of your fingers.

When preparing for the shot, raise your outstretched bow arm level with the target while keeping in mind that you have to maintain some flex in your elbow for your bow arm to not completely extend. This archery technique will help give clearance to the string on release and also, remember that a consistent arrow point is the key to accuracy. Keep the outstretched string near your eye and not at an angle for you to still have a look directly at the arrow shaft.
